Senate Resolution No. 9

Recognizing the outstanding accomplishments of Wes Robinson and his tremendous ability to overcome disability.

Whereas, Wes Robinson, a senior at Williamson High School and a wide receiver and outside linebacker for the Williamson Wolfpack, had a brilliant career ahead of him as an outstanding athlete and football player; and
Whereas, Wes Robinson also had a great ambition to serve his nation by making military service a career and attending West Point; and
Whereas, On October 4, 1996, during the homecoming game at Williamson High, Wes Robinson was tragically injured in a game that would change the rest of his life; and
Whereas, The physical struggles which Wes Robinson has battled since the accident and the courage he has exhibited to try to overcome its devastating effects should be a shining example to all of us; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That the Senate hereby recognizes the courage and stamina of Wes Robinson of Williamson, West Virginia, who shines as an example to us all that we can conquer our disabilities with our abilities; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward a copy of this resolution to an outstanding young man, Wes Robinson of Williamson, West Virginia.
